It was reported by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation that IGA Istanbul Airport broke the all-time air traffic record with 1594 landings and takeoffs the previous day due to the UEFA Champions League Final.
From the Twitter account of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, a share was made regarding the landing-departure figures of IGA Istanbul Airport.
Due to the UEFA Champions League Final, it was stated that IGA Istanbul Airport broke the all-time air traffic record with 1594 landings and takeoffs the previous day, the following were recorded in the statement:
“Our Turkish carriers have taken an important place in the traffic with October with the additional scheduled and charter flights organized with the contributions of our General Directorate.”

Inter and Manchester City fans who arrived by plane due to the UEFA Champions League final match created a density at Istanbul Airport.
